Personal Practice for Enlightened Activism
Friday, October 27 | 7-8:30 pm | FREE

The times we live in feel uncertain and unsettling, yet as individuals we can make a difference, one breath at a time. Please join us for a free, special presentation by Shelly Craigo on how we can turn darkness into light through our personal practice. Shelly is traveling to communities across the country to spread this message, and we are fortunate to have her here in Downers Grove to share this timeless practice with us.

How do we become enlightened activists? Shelly Craigo has some tips. Let’s be a part of the solution, rather than the problem. Transmute anger into passionate action.

The coexistence of light and darkness is part of Nature’s design. The interaction between these two is also natural. But when the interplay between light and darkness becomes a fight, it engenders chaos. This battle and its outcome is known as the kali yuga. We as individuals may not bring the kali yuga to an end, but definitely, through our purpose-driven, structured practice, we can create a collective consciousness powerful enough to bring about an atmosphere of inner harmony, and mutual love and cooperation.

Becoming a part of group practice gives us the opportunity to taste the joy of unity; the joy of being an integral part of something bigger, better, brighter, and more enlightened and powerful than ourselves. It it this experience that eventually instills our minds and hearts with vision and courage to bring an extraordinary change both in the world inside us and outside us….

“As individuals we may not change the world, but through purpose-driven structured practice, we can create a collective consiousness powerful enough to bring about an atmostphere of inner harmony, and mutual love and compassion.”
~ Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD

Become a force of change! When the consciousness that envelops our inner and outer world is becoming increasingly darker, e can and must turn it into light. Each of us embodies this light. When we emit this energy together, darkness and the painful confusion created by it will lose its effect.

What if we joined in the intention to turn darkness to light?
What if we understood our personal practice within a collective one wherein we become a force of change?
And what if the formula for creating a collective consciousness begins with befriending and balancing, first, ourselves?

Please come and learn more about the practice of Rudra Yaga and how to participate on a personal and collective level.

Just bring yourself...no mats or props required.  Hope to see you there!
