Benefit Class to support Gray Bear’s forest preservation project

Sunday, April 22 | 3-5 pm | $25 suggested cash donation
Led by Laura Jane Mellencamp

Join Laura Jane in saving the trees! This special Earth Day class will feature an all levels Hatha yoga practice with guided meditation and sound healing with crystal and Tibetan bowls.

Proceeds from the class will go to help preserve 200 acres of pristine forest that surrounds the beloved Gray Bear Holistic Retreat Center in Tennessee. If we can collectively raise the $1008 by April 30, our studio be entered to win a R&R weekend!

Last year, 200 acres of pristine forest adjacent to Gray Bear were slated to be clear-cut to make way for development. This pristine area is home to dogwood, hickory, red oak, and maple trees, beautiful streams, majestic waterfalls, tall pines, wild turkey nesting grounds, inspiring cliff faces, and fields of wildflowers. Gray Bear's goal was to purchase the land and preserve its silent sanctuaries--the bamboo meditation gardens, the hiking trails, and the abundant wildlife. Preserving this adjacent forest will help ensure a place for you to listen to the exotic woodpecker calls, to take in glorious sunrises and sunsets, and to watch starry night skies during future retreats.

Can't make the class but would still like to help save the trees?
