Kim is certified as an advanced TRE provider and will be able to lovingly guide you through the process of this special technique that allows you to release tension and trauma that is holding space in your body. Trauma and tension can be stored in your body, whether it is something from childhood, something more recent, the collective trauma of living through a pandemic or just everyday tensions of life. Kim is extensively trained in the polyvagal theory and how trauma and stress impacts the body, and will be able to compassionately support you through the process of releasing the stories in your body that are causing stuck points either physically or emotionally.
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple series of gentle exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
