Neurogenic Yoga is a very gentle and loving yoga practice along with specific breathwork and body awareness that allows your nervous system and fascia to release to a point that it activates the natural tremor mechanism in your body. Similar to TRE, but comes from a more relaxed approach of the nervous system.

When this tremor mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of wholeness. The vibrations in the body slowly release fascia holding bones, muscles and organs in place. The easing of fascia allows the body to slowly relax and dissipate stored up tension. This gentle practice allows for stories in the body to then be released, letting the wisdom of the body to do its own work.

Kim will guide you through the practice with great compassion, giving attention to each participant ensuring their physical and emotional safety.

Some of the benefits may include:

  • Less worry and anxiety
  • Reduce tension held in the body
  • More energy and endurance
  • Better sleep
  • Reduced muscle and back pain
  • Increased flexibility
  • Greater emotional resiliency
  • Reduced symptoms of PTSD
  • A decrease in symptoms of vicarious trauma
  • Healing of old injuries
  • Lessened anxiety surrounding serious illness
  • Relief from chronic medical conditions

This is a class to support a safe activation of neurogenic tremors. It includes education about the body's stress response, self-regulation, simple mindfulness practices, and best staying grounded through the process.

What is the difference between Neurogenic Yoga and TRE?

Neurogenic Yoga and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) are two distinct practices that focus on releasing tension and stress from the body, but they have different approaches and techniques.

While both Neurogenic Yoga and TRE focus on activating tremors to release tension, Neurogenic Yoga incorporates additional elements of yoga, such as postures and breathwork, to enhance the overall experience and benefits. Neurogenic Yoga provides a more integrated and holistic approach by combining the benefits of yoga and tremoring, making it a gentler and potentially more accessible practice for some individuals. Both Neurogenic Yoga and TRE share the common goal of releasing tension and stress from the body through tremors, but Neurogenic Yoga incorporates yoga postures and breathwork into the practice, offering a more comprehensive approach to relaxation and trauma release.
